Dwayne Johnson is an American wrestler and actor with an estimated net worth of $190 million. He was born on May 2, 1972 in Hayward, California. He is more commonly well-known as The Rock, which is the nickname given to him when he began his career as a professional wrestler. Growing up, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was always interested in the career path he traveled. His mother is Ata, and his father is Rocky Johnson, a professional wrestler. He grandfather, Peter Maivia, was known in the world of professional wrestling as “High Chief,” and his grandmother, Lia Maivia, was known as one of the first and one of the few female promoters in pro wrestling. When her husband died, she took over the business. The Rock also has a cousin in the WWE. It’s a family affair.

Most of his family is part of the business, and so Dwayne Johnson knew from a very early age that he, too, would be a part of the professional wrestling world. He grew up around the business and has always had a part in it, and it’s stemmed his love of the sport from the time he was a small child. Throughout his childhood, he lived in many locations thanks in large part to his father’s work, and he always spent his time focusing on football. He loved the sport, and he was good at it. He played for several different sports, but he loved football the most. He was part of the 1991 Miami Hurricane’s championship football team in college, and that’s when a knee injury prevented him from playing. He was replaced with a classmate by the name of Warren Sapp, and the rest is history.

Unable to play football anymore, he met his wife at school and graduated with a degree in physiology and criminology before he went on to create a career in professional wrestling. He’s one of the most successful and most famous men in the game, and he spent many years in the ring taking home titles and making a reputation that his family is more than a little proud of. However, it’s not what he really wanted to do with his life forever, so he decided to take a stab at acting, and he was pleasantly surprised when he was given a few roles. Those few roles turned into larger roles and he’s become one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood since becoming an actor.
